A playful twist on a classic game, where dosas and idlis become your game pieces. Inspired by two of South India’s most loved comfort foods, this handcrafted set brings together nostalgia, craft, and a little friendly competition.
The game board and drawstring pouch are made from naturally dyed fabric, finished with hand embroidery, while each dosa and idli coin is individually hand-sculpted in ceramic. Created in collaboration with And Alt Foundation, this set celebrates traditional craft techniques through an object that’s meant to be played with, shared, and treasured.
As each fabric is naturally dyed, variations in colour and shade (yellow and pink) are part of its character. Your set may differ from the photographs, making every piece truly one of a kind.

Each piece on Kala Curry is shipped directly from the artist or collective who made it, so your order might travel from different parts of the country depending on what you buy.
As we grow, we’re working on making shipping more efficient (and more affordable). But for now, this fee helps us make sure your art gets to you safely, straight from the source.
We offer free shipping on all orders over ₹5,000 as a small thank you for supporting handmade art.
How can I cancel my order?
Since we work with independent artists and small collectives, we don’t allow cancellations once an order is placed. We encourage you to buy only what you truly love. This helps us reduce waste and honours the time, care, and effort behind every piece. How do I return my order?
We only accept returns if your order arrived damaged or if we sent you the wrong item. If that happens, just let us know within 48 hours of delivery, and we’ll take care of it.

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and send us photos + an unboxing video so that we can cross-check the issue with the artist and our shipping partners. We’ll process your return or replacement from there as per our return policy.
Why doesn’t Kala Curry offer cash on delivery (COD)?
Most Kala Curry products are shipped directly by our artisans and made in small batches.
COD orders have 2–3x higher return rates than prepaid orders, with nearly 1 in 4 orders being returned. These returns lead to unnecessary shipping, packaging waste, and higher carbon emissions, and directly impact artisan livelihoods.
By avoiding COD, we can:
- Reduce returns and environmental burden
- Ensure fair, predictable earnings for artisans
- Enable faster, smoother deliveries
