MILIMETER

GHODA // Ceramic sculpture

Rs. 4,499.00

A celebration of minimalism and material honesty, this sculptural piece from Milimeter reimagines the archetype of an animal figure through geometric abstraction. Crafted from glazed stoneware, its monolithic form echoes ancient toys and totems, merging nostalgia with modern design sensibilities. The clean lines and soft earthy tone highlight the raw texture of the clay, allowing the form to speak for itself. Whether placed on a desk, shelf, or console, this piece adds a quiet yet characterful presence to any space. Handmade in small batches, each form is slightly unique—imbued with the imperfections of hand and the story of process.

About the Artist

Amritanshu Prajwal is a product and furniture designer and the founder of Milimeter, a studio focused on craft, design, and sustainability. With over six years of hands-on practice, he works primarily with wood and clay, creating functional objects and sculptures that are meant to be lived with. Milimeter was started as a space to explore material-led making, limited-edition pieces, and slow, thoughtful production.

For Amritanshu, making is central to everyday life. His process begins with direct engagement with material, shaping by hand, testing proportions, and refining forms through use and observation. Clay and wood are chosen for their responsiveness and memory, with each piece developing through careful sourcing, studio testing, and time-intensive making. Clean lines and geometric forms guide his work, allowing material, balance, and function to remain at the forefront. Through Milimeter, he aims to create objects that sit comfortably between art and daily use, encouraging a more personal and lasting relationship with handcrafted work.

FAQs

Most commonly asked questions from the community

Why is there a shipping fee?

Each piece on Kala Curry is shipped directly from the artist or collective who made it, so your order might travel from different parts of the country depending on what you buy.

As we grow, we’re working on making shipping more efficient (and more affordable). But for now, this fee helps us make sure your art gets to you safely, straight from the source.

We offer free shipping on all orders over ₹5,000 as a small thank you for supporting handmade art.

How can I cancel my order?

Since we work with independent artists and small collectives, we don’t allow cancellations once an order is placed. We encourage you to buy only what you truly love. This helps us reduce waste and honours the time, care, and effort behind every piece. If you are unsure about a purchase and our website doesn’t answer all your questions, reach out to us at kalacurry.friends@gmail.com

How do I return my order?

We only accept returns if your order arrived damaged or if we sent you the wrong item. If that happens, just let us know within 48 hours of delivery, and we’ll take care of it.

To help us process your return smoothly, please take clear photos and an unboxing video when your package arrives. You can submit your return request through this link.

What do I do if my order is damaged?

We’re so sorry your order didn’t arrive as it should have. We promise we’ll try to make it right!

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and send us photos + an unboxing video so that we can cross-check the issue with the artist and our shipping partners. We’ll process your return or replacement from there as per our return policy.

Why doesn’t Kala Curry offer cash on delivery (COD)?

Most Kala Curry products are shipped directly by our artisans and made in small batches.

COD orders have 2–3x higher return rates than prepaid orders, with nearly 1 in 4 orders being returned. These returns lead to unnecessary shipping, packaging waste, and higher carbon emissions, and directly impact artisan livelihoods.

By avoiding COD, we can:

  • Reduce returns and environmental burden
  • Ensure fair, predictable earnings for artisans
  • Enable faster, smoother deliveries

Thank you for supporting independent artists and sustainable craft practices.
